AMARE-MED 2019

Will take place at Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti (http://www.istitutoveneto.it) of Venice (Italy)

HOW TO GET

by plane
"Marco Polo" Venice Airport is located in Tessera, an area north-east of Mestre, facing the North Lagoon.
From the airport you can reach Venice (Piazzale Roma) either by taxi or by public service bus (ACTV line 5 Airport-Venice or ATVO Airport-Venice)
It is also possible to reach Venice directly through the lagoon with motorboats in taxi service or with a collective transport managed by ALILAGUNA.

by train
From the square in front of the Venezia S. Lucia railway station you can reach the Veneto Institute either on foot (see dedicated paragraph) or with the ACTV waterbus.
From the ACTV jetty, on the left out of the train station, both line 1 and line 2 leave. Both lines run along the Canal Grande, but line 2 is a little faster because it makes fewer intermediate stops.
The destination stop for the Veneto Institute is "Accademia"
Line 1 (intermediate stops: Riva di Biasio - S. Marcuola - S. Stae - Ca 'D'Oro - Rialto - S. Silvestro - S. Angelo - S. Tomà - Ca' Rezzonico). The journey takes about 30 minutes.
Get off at the "Accademia" stop, take the bridge of the same name on the left to cross the Canal Grande, pass by the garden of Palazzo Franchetti and enter Campo S. Stefano. Palazzo Loredan appears immediately on the left, easily identifiable by its size and the color of the plaster.
Line 2 (intermediate stops: Rialto - S. Tomà - S. Samuele). The journey takes about 20 minutes.
Get off at the "S. Samuele" stop, pass next to Palazzo Grassi, take "Calle delle carrozze", continue along the Salizada S. Samuele, turn left and follow "Calle delle botteghe" which leads to Campo S .Stefano. Turn right and immediately notice the sixteenth-century marble facade of Palazzo Loredan, whose entrance is in the center of the longer side of the building. At the end of the Campo one can make out the entrance to the garden of Palazzo Franchetti.
